Monica Zamfir BA (Hons.), JD
Monica Zamfir is an associate in the firm’s litigation department. Her practice focuses on medical malpractice, health law, and general profession liability. Monica also has experience in bankruptcy, family, and institutional liability litigation matters. Prior to her call to the Bar of Ontario in 2014, Monica articled with the firm.
Monica received her J.D. from the Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie University, where she received honours in Criminal Trial Advocacy. During her legal studies, she also completed an exchange at the Bader Institute in England where she received a certificate in International Business Law. Prior to law school, Monica completed her undergraduate degree in Economics at York University, in Toronto, Ontario, where she graduated in the top ten percent of her class.
In her spare time, Monica has been involved in diverse community and volunteer work, from rebuilding houses in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, involvement with the Association in Defense of the Wrongly Convicted (AIDWYC), and volunteering at the Toronto Fringe Festival.
